Working to Spread the Power of Potential of Restorative Justice
The Restorative Center is a 501(c)(3) organization that teaches, implements and advocates for restorative justice.
Drawing upon a deep reservoir of real-world experience and restorative justice models from around the world, TRC develops and codifies unique, replicable, teachable, and flexible structures of restorative justice circles. Our work demonstrates the benefits of restorative justice for incarceration, community dysfunction and resilience, reimagining school conflict, social work, and workplace forums for issues of race relations and sexual harassment.
Restorative justice affords the opportunity to join together in facilitated circles to understand the disconnect we are experiencing in many areas of society so that we can live in a more easeful way with ourselves and others. Restorative justice offers a way forward for this nation to have transformative conversations with humility and humanity about race, inequity, policing and community, and to reduce the school suspension-to-prison pipeline. Most importantly, restorative justice can facilitate the restoration of a fractured relationship between government and its citizens.
TRC directs academic work and trainings to advance deeper analysis of the impact of restorative justice and the various manners in which the potential of restorative justice can be manifest, integrating restorative justice models from across the globe with spiritual traditions of community building, holding space, and transformation. The organization has led hundreds of restorative justice circle processes and many trainings across the country since its creation in 2015, resulting in a strong programmatic portfolio with a robust training curriculum.

TRC has experience working with a variety of organizations to utilize the power of Restorative Justice to build community, discuss the disconnect, and bring the issues of workplace ethics to the surface in a meaningful way.
We have experience working in schools, facilitating workplace trainings, consulting on innovative programming for organizations and agencies, bringing Community Circles to events and conferences, and tailoring new Circles to fit specific community needs. More here.
